BALLPLAY BEND– The Ballplay Bend Fire Department is bringing back its Labor Day Weekend BBQ, giving residents another opportunity to support the volunteer fire department while enjoying a local tradition.
The department will offer several barbecue favorites during the four-hour event.
Smoked bologna stuffed with bell peppers and onions will be available for $15. Each portion will weigh approximately two pounds.
Whole pork butts will sell for $35, while five chicken leg quarters will cost $25.
The department will also offer bottles of Firehawgs BBQ Sauce for $5 while supplies last.
Pre-order tickets are available now. Anyone interested in placing an order should contact a Ballplay Bend Fire Department member.
Fire department officials said any orders not picked up by 1 p.m. will be donated.
The department thanked the community for its continued support and said it is proud to bring the Labor Day weekend barbecue back for local residents.
