BLACK CREEK – Shoppers traveling the World’s Longest Yard Sale can take a break from the summer heat at the Black Creek Volunteer Fire Department through Saturday.
The department is opening its station from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day, offering visitors an air-conditioned place to cool off, use the restrooms, and purchase food and drinks before returning to the yard sale route.
Fire department members are inviting bargain hunters to stop in for a break during what can be a long and hot day of shopping.
The Black Creek Volunteer Fire Department is located at 20 Styles Bridge Road, just off Tabor Road.
The cooling stop, food, and refreshments will be available during the station’s operating hours through Saturday.
