Cherokee County Board of Education Sets August 10 Meeting

Cherokee County Board of Education board meeting announcement for Monday, August 10, at 4 p.m. at the Central Office in Centre.

CENTRE– The Cherokee County Board of Education will hold its regular meeting Monday, August 10, at 4 p.m. at the school system’s Central Office.

The meeting will take place at 200 Armory Road in Centre.

Board members are scheduled to consider approval of the July 27 special called meeting minutes and receive the June 2026 financial report.

The agenda also includes an American Sign Language interpreting services addendum agreement, travel requests, personnel action, and professional development. Board members will also review current job postings and receive an update from the superintendent.

The meeting will begin with a call to order, prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a welcome. Public comments are scheduled before the board establishes a quorum and confirms proper meeting notification procedures.

The board will then consider adopting the agenda before moving into its scheduled business.

Cherokee County Schools also announced that a special called Board of Education meeting and the first budget hearing will be held Monday, August 31, at 4 p.m. at the Central Office.
