ETOWAH COUNTY– The Etowah Chamber of Commerce will host a community blood drive Wednesday, July 22, at the Etowah Chamber Building.

The LifeSouth blood drive will run from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Organizers are encouraging area residents to donate blood and help patients in need throughout the community.

Donors will receive a limited-edition America 250 LifeSouth T-shirt while supplies last. Shirt colors may vary. In addition, LifeSouth will offer all donors a free diabetes A1C test.

Donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and present a photo ID. Anyone who is 16 must also provide written permission from a parent or guardian.

The event will also highlight three Etowah Chamber food truck members. Lil’ Slats Smokehouze, Pinguinos Hermanos and Three Crow Coffee will offer lunch and sweet treats during the drive.

The Etowah Chamber is inviting residents to donate blood, enjoy lunch, and support local businesses during Wednesday’s event. Each donation can help provide lifesaving blood to someone in need.
