In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Raheam Dobbins, age 39 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of 4th degree theft of property.

Cody Jones, age 31 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Jerry Steele, age 58 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on hold for another agency.

Mark Watkins, age 50 of Centre, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department for failure to appear on three previous charges.

Jay Huntington, age 70 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of 3rd degree domestic violence.

Jessi Carver, age 40 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

Austin Abernathy, age 31 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of two counts of 4th degree theft of property.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 105 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
