In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Pleas Edwards, age 53 of Fort Payne, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on for failure to appear on four previous charges.

Gary Crump, age 31 of Summerville, Georgia, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sandy Wilson, age 48 of Summerville, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on two previous charges.

Jon Hainds, age 29 of Gadsden, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thomas Salmon, age 35 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of two counts of probation revocation and for failure to appear on four previous charges.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 96 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
