Mr. Bobby R. Connell, age 88, of Gaylesville, AL passed away at his residence on July 2, 2026. Mr. Connell was born in Leesburg, AL to his parents, Willis Edmund “W.E.” Connell and Claudia Marie Ingram Connell.
He is survived by his son, Jeffery “Todd” Connell of Centre, AL; daughters, Valerie M. Connell of Cedar Bluff, AL and Sherry E. Connell of Madison, AL; grandchildren, Tiffany Connell of Lyerly, GA and Brandon Connell of Gaylesville, AL; great-granchildren, Saban Epps of Gaylesville, AL, Remington and Olin Hatcher of Lyerly, GA; and special friend, Maxine Faulkner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Henderson Connell; granddaughter, Elisha Connell; brothers, W.E. Connell of Saks, AL, Burnie Connell of Corpus Christi, TX, Virgil Connell of Montgomery, AL, Thomas Graham of Rome, GA; sisters, Ruby Spray, Jackie Phillips, Willie D. Beck, and Sue Patterson, all of Gadsden, AL, Ann McNalley of Yuba City, CA, and Carol Connell of Birmingham, AL, as well as his parents W.E. and Claudia Marie Connell.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM (Central Standard Time), with the service to follow at 5:00 PM (Central Standard Time) in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel. Honorary pallbearers will be Gaylesville High School Class of 1956.
The family requests plants only, or memorials may be made to your favorite charity in memory of Mr. Connell.
