At the July 6^th Leesburg Town Council meeting Mayor Brandy Pierce described his vision for the America 250 mural dedication in the town park August 29^th. The date coincides with the Farmer’s Market, and Pierce included the possibility of the town renting inflatables and inviting a coffee truck. While a 9:30 AM time was mentioned, the dedication details are still in the formation stages. WEIS News will update as the date approaches.

The mayor also stated that a public hearing for the purpose of vacating a portion of Bristow Gap Road will be July 13^th at 5:00 pm in the FEMA Building.

Mayor Pierce also reminded the council and attendees that the annual gospel singing is set for September 10^th with New Ground of Scottsboro performing. Leesburg Day will follow the next Saturday, September 12^th.
