CENTRE – First Baptist Centre has released its July Community Resources Guide, providing information on upcoming food distribution events throughout Cherokee County, along with contact information for organizations offering assistance with food, clothing, utilities, transportation, mental health, addiction recovery, and other community services.

Several churches and community organizations will host food giveaways during the month of July at locations across Cherokee County. Residents seeking assistance are encouraged to contact the host organization for additional information before attending.

The July food giveaway schedule includes:

• Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church – July 2, 14, 16, 18, 28 and 30 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
• Slackland Baptist Church (Leesburg) – July 2 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
• Family Care Center (Centre) – July 6 and July 20 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
• Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church – July 8 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
• Gaylesville Fire Department – July 10 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
• Shiloh Baptist Church (Centre) – July 22 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
• Clear View Worship Center (Centre) – July 25 beginning at 9:00 a.m., with Tuesday assistance available by appointment.

In addition to the food distribution schedule, the Community Resources Guide lists several organizations that provide assistance throughout the year, including mental health and addiction recovery services, clothing assistance, utility assistance, transportation resources, pregnancy support, and other community services.
