FORT PAYNE — Jobseekers from across northeast Alabama will have an opportunity to connect with area employers during the upcoming DeKalb County Hiring Event scheduled for Thursday, June 25.

The event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Wills Valley Recreation Center, located at 4220 Godfrey Avenue Northeast in Fort Payne.

Organizers say the hiring event is designed to bring together employers and prospective employees in one location, providing opportunities for individuals seeking new careers, career advancement, or entry into the workforce.

Several employers have already committed to participating, including G2 Supply, Plasman, Thrive Outdoor, Siemens Energy, DeKalb Regional Medical Center, and Ferguson Distribution Center. Additional employers are expected to be announced prior to the event.

Jobseekers are encouraged to pre-register online and bring copies of their résumé to share with participating employers. Representatives from a variety of industries will be available to discuss current job openings, qualifications, and employment opportunities.

The hiring event is being presented through a partnership between the Fort Payne Chamber of Commerce, the City of Fort Payne, the DeKalb County Economic Development Authority, Career Connect North Alabama, and AIDT.

Organizers encourage anyone seeking employment or exploring career opportunities to attend and take advantage of the chance to meet directly with hiring representatives from some of the region’s leading employers.
