CENTRE — Residents from across Cherokee County and the surrounding area are invited to attend the 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 20, at Centre City Park.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will feature a full day of activities, entertainment, community resources, and family-friendly fun as the community comes together to celebrate freedom, unity, and fellowship.

Organizers have planned a variety of attractions for attendees of all ages, including live music, a car show, health screenings, a community blood drive, a bounce house, face painting, temporary tattoos for children, and free hot dogs. Additional activities and vendors will also be on hand throughout the day.

Representatives from Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home will be available to provide information regarding funeral pre-needs planning, while healthcare professionals and community organizations will offer health-related services and information.
Several local businesses and organizations are partnering to support the celebration, including Tim’s Walkhard BBQ, QB’s Vending, Applehead Accessories LLC, Yellow Butterfly Paint Studio, Atrium Health, LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, and Paige Jelks.
The annual event is designed to commemorate Juneteenth while bringing together residents from throughout the community for a day of education, entertainment, service, and celebration. Organizers encourage everyone to attend and invite family members, friends, and neighbors to join in the festivities.
Admission is free, and all members of the community are welcome to attend the celebration at Centre City Park on June 20.
