RAINBOW CITY-Rainbow City Public Works has announced a temporary road closure on Westminster Drive on Wednesday, June 10, to allow crews to replace a failing crossover pipe beneath the roadway.

The closure will be in effect between Grady Street and Turman Street while work is completed. According to officials, the project is scheduled to begin in the morning and is expected to be finished with the roadway reopened before noon.

City officials said the repair is necessary to address infrastructure issues and ensure proper drainage and roadway integrity in the area. A permanent asphalt patch will be installed at a later date once the gravel base has had time to settle.

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling near the work zone and to follow any posted detours or traffic control measures during the closure period.
