MORGAN COUNTY — A Rainbow City woman was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Morgan County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Stevi P. Cox, 46, of Rainbow City, was fatally injured when the 2026 Mitsubishi Eclipse she was driving collided head-on with a 2022 Jeep Gladiator at approximately 9:35 a.m. on June 8.

Cox was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep, Nathan J. McKee, 25, of Pinson, was injured in the crash and transported to Marshall Medical Center for treatment.

According to ALEA, the crash occurred on Alabama 67 near Ryan Loop Road, approximately five miles north of Joppa in Morgan County.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional information was available as of Tuesday.
