SPRING GARDEN — The Spring Garden Volunteer Fire Department is inviting the community to come out and support local firefighters during its annual BBQ fundraiser on Saturday, June 20.
The popular event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Spring Garden School Cafeteria and will feature carry-out meals only.
Fire department members have already begun traveling throughout the community offering presale tickets for the fundraiser. However, organizers note that purchasing tickets in advance is not required, as meals will also be available for purchase at the door while supplies last.
Each $10 BBQ plate includes shredded barbecue, coleslaw, baked beans, bread, and sauce. Desserts will also be available for an additional $2.
In addition to the barbecue fundraiser, the department will hold a raffle drawing this year featuring a special prize.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Spring Garden Volunteer Fire Department and help support its mission of serving the community and maintaining the equipment and resources needed to provide emergency services.
Department officials encourage residents to take part in the fundraiser and show their support for the volunteer firefighters who serve the Spring Garden area throughout the year.
The annual BBQ has become a community tradition, providing an opportunity for residents to enjoy a meal while helping fund the department’s continued operations and public safety efforts.
For those planning to attend, organizers remind the public that all meals will be carry-out only. The fundraiser will take place Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Spring Garden School Cafeteria.
