
RAINBOW CITY — The Rainbow City Police Department is recognizing School Resource Officer Amber Brown for successfully completing the Lateral/Refresher Academy at the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy.
Officer Brown recently finished the training program as part of her transition to the Rainbow City Police Department, where she serves as a School Resource Officer.
Before joining the department, Brown spent eight years with the Gadsden Police Department, gaining valuable law enforcement experience and serving the community in a variety of capacities.
Rainbow City police officials praised Brown’s dedication and commitment to public service, noting that her experience will be a valuable asset to both local schools and the community.
The department said it is pleased to have Brown on its team and looks forward to her continued work with students, faculty and families during the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
School Resource Officers play an important role in fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and students while helping maintain safe learning environments on school campuses.
The Rainbow City Police Department congratulated Brown on her accomplishment and welcomed her continued service to the city and its schools.
