Crestview at Riverside Holds Official Ribbon Cutting in Cedar Bluff

CEDAR BLUFF— Crestview at Riverside Bar and Grill officially celebrated its grand opening Wednesday morning with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce at the Cove Riverside RV Park and Campground. Although the restaurant has been open for approximately six weeks, the ceremony served as its formal introduction to the community.

Located at 1210 County Road 131 in Cedar Bluff, Crestview at Riverside describes itself as offering elevated comfort food paired with genuine hospitality. The restaurant is built on principles of servant leadership, good stewardship, and second-mile service, with a focus on scratch-made menu items and a welcoming atmosphere designed to bring together both locals and visitors.

Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Joy Perry welcomed attendees and expressed enthusiasm for the newest addition to the area’s dining scene, noting excitement about Blake and Crestview at Riverside joining the Cedar Bluff business community.

Cedar Bluff Mayor Bill Warren thanked the owners and highlighted improvements made to the property, stating that the location looks better than it has in years. He also recognized owner Blake Madarias for his service as a firefighter and volunteer with Emergency Management Agency efforts. Warren extended appreciation to local elected officials, Cedar Bluff crew members, visitors, and the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, which he described as among the best in Alabama.

Crestview at Riverside is owned and operated by Blake and Christina Madarias. The owners noted that the restaurant operates daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., except for Tuesdays when it is closed. The establishment features a slightly upscale dining environment while continuing to welcome lake visitors and families.

Blake Madarias brings prior experience from Chick-fil-A, while Christina Madarias has a background in corporate restaurant operations and wedding catering. Together, they emphasized combining their experience to create a service-focused dining model aimed at delivering consistent quality and hospitality.

The restaurant currently employs approximately 35 staff members and is actively seeking additional employees for the summer season. Staff members noted that Crestview at Riverside offers a different dining experience compared to others in the county, particularly in its menu variety and atmosphere.

The owners also shared their connection to Cedar Bluff, noting they have been part of the community for several years and have developed a strong appreciation for the area. They emphasized that their core values center on serving people and investing in the local community.

In addition to its dining service, Crestview at Riverside plans future expansions that include a bar area pending licensing approval. The business also intends to launch a summer concert series on the lawn and add recreational activities such as cornhole, creating a broader entertainment destination.

Weekly karaoke nights are currently held every Thursday, adding to the restaurant’s ongoing entertainment offerings.

The owners also encourage lake visitors to stop in and dine, highlighting the restaurant’s proximity to local recreational areas and its focus on welcoming both residents and travelers.
