CHEROKEE COUNTY — The Cherokee County School System will once again offer free meals to children through its Child Nutrition Summer Feeding Program, helping ensure students continue to have access to nutritious meals while school is out for the summer.

According to information released for the 2026 summer program, multiple school sites across Cherokee County will participate in the federally funded feeding initiative. Meals will be available at designated locations in Centre, Cedar Bluff, Gaylesville, Sand Rock, and Spring Garden.

Participating meal sites and serving times include:

Cedar Bluff High School
3655 Old Highway 9, Cedar Bluff
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Centre Elementary School
199 Armory Road, Centre
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Centre Middle School
1920 East Main Street, Centre
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Cherokee County High School
910 Warrior Drive, Centre
Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Gaylesville High School
760 Trojan Way, Gaylesville
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Sand Rock High School

Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Spring Garden High School

Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Summer Food Service Program is designed to provide healthy meals to children during summer months when school is not in session. Participating sites are listed as open meal locations, allowing eligible children access to breakfast and lunch during scheduled serving times.
