Centre Fire Conducts Live-Fire Training Exercise

CENTRE — The Centre Fire Department recently conducted “burn box” training, providing firefighters with the opportunity to work in controlled live-fire conditions in a structured environment.

The hands-on training is designed to strengthen essential skills, including fire behavior recognition, interior attack techniques, ventilation, and coordinated teamwork under conditions that simulate real emergencies.

Officials said exercises like this play a key role in ensuring firefighters are prepared to respond effectively when actual incidents occur.
The department also recognized the ongoing commitment of its personnel, noting that continued training remains critical to protecting lives and property throughout the community.
