Cherokee County Board of Education to Meet April 28

CENTRE — The Cherokee County Board of Education will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

The meeting will take place at the Cherokee County Schools Central Office, located at 200 Armory Road in Centre.

According to the published agenda, the meeting will begin with a call to order, followed by an opening prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and welcome remarks. The board will then hear public comments before proceeding with official business.

Items on the agenda include approval of the April 9, 2026 meeting minutes, review of the February 2026 financial report, and consideration of policy manual revisions. Board members are also expected to vote on a license agreement with the City of Centre, accept bids, and approve travel and personnel actions.

Additional items include a review of current job postings, a superintendent’s update, and any other business that may come before the board prior to adjournment.
