Wright earns low medalist, leads Warrior golfers to White Plains Invitational title

GLENCOE – Cherokee County High School’s Dirk Wright earned the low medalist honor out of 83 participants at the White Plains Invitational at Silver Lakes near Glencoe on Wednesday. He shot 72 and led the Warriors to the tournament title with a total score of 310 (+22), four strokes better than runner-up Alexandria (+26). Oxford finished third at +37.

Wright finished with four birdies and an eagle on the course.

Asher Ellis tied for third individually after shooting 74 with three birdies. Jack Davis tied for eighth with a 77. Davis finished with six birdies. Noah McCullough finished at 87.
