Southside High Junior Varsity Scholars Bowl Team Wins State Championship
RAINBOW CITY — The Southside High School Junior Varsity Scholars Bowl team has been recognized as state champions after an undefeated performance at a recent academic competition.
The team secured the title at the state tournament held at Wallace State Community College, competing against schools from across Alabama. The Scholars Bowl competition challenges students in a wide range of subjects, requiring quick thinking, teamwork, and in-depth academic knowledge.
In recognition of their achievement, the team was honored during a recent Rainbow City Council meeting, where city leaders presented a proclamation highlighting their success and dedication.
City officials commended the students and their coach for their hard work and for representing Rainbow City with excellence on the state level.
