Rainbow City Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Cleburne County

HEFLIN — A Rainbow City man was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Cleburne County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Chancellor A. Perkins, 24, died when the 2005 Suzuki GSX600FK5 Katana motorcycle he was operating struck a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by Adam E. Ingram, 45, of Temple, Georgia.
Authorities said Perkins was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:05 p.m. on Alabama 281 near the 487-mile marker, about 10 miles southwest of Heflin.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. No additional information has been released at this time.
