GUNTERSVILLE — A community blood drive is set for April 24 in Marshall County as part of efforts to recognize Alabama Crime Victims Week and support lifesaving initiatives.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 425 Blount Avenue in Guntersville. Donors can find the LifeSouth mobile unit parked between the District Attorney’s Office Annex and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

Organizers say the blood drive serves as both a way to help save lives and to honor victims of crime in a meaningful and impactful way.

In addition to contributing to the community’s blood supply, the first 100 donors will receive a free T-shirt and other items as a token of appreciation.

A friendly competition is also planned among local agencies and departments, with a prize awarded to the group that brings in the most donors.

Community members are encouraged to participate and show support for the cause.
