Two Killed in Cullman County Crash on Alabama 91 Near Holly Pond

CULLMAN—A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. Sunday, April 12, has claimed the lives of two people. Oneal Kelley, 84, of Arab, was fatally injured when the 2017 Nissan Rogue that he was driving, was struck by a 2011 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Aaron C. Mitchell, 33, of Hanceville.  Kelly was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger of the Nissan, Martha Kelley, 79, also of Arab, was critically injured and transported to Cullman Regional Medical Center for medical treatment where she later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased while at the hospital.

The crash occurred on Alabama 91 near Cullman County 649, approximately six miles east of Holly Pond, in Cullman County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
