Cherokee County Honors 911 Dispatchers During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

CHEROKEE COUNTY — National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is underway, and officials are taking time to recognize the voices behind the line—the men and women who serve the community around the clock.

Every call for help begins with a dispatcher. In moments of chaos, they provide calm. In times of uncertainty, they offer direction. And in critical situations, they remain the steady voice guiding both the public and first responders.

Cherokee County is recognizing its 911 dispatchers for their continued service and commitment. Those honored this week include Hayden, Jamey, Josh, Misty, Shannon, Corey, Darrell, Kloei, Susan, and Cory.

Officials say their dedication, professionalism, and compassion do not go unnoticed, emphasizing that dispatchers serve as a vital lifeline between citizens and emergency services.

The county extends its appreciation for their long hours, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to serving the community—not just during this week of recognition, but every day.
