JACKSONVILLE — A heavy police presence was reported around 8 p.m. Friday night in the Jacksonville Square area following a police pursuit that ended in a crash involving officers and the suspect.

Witnesses said the pursuit came to a dramatic end when police vehicles collided with the suspect’s car near the square. The scene quickly filled with law enforcement officers and emergency responders.

There has been no official word yet regarding possible injuries or any charges in connection with the incident.
