JACKSONVILLE – Clayton Sadler tossed a one-hitter and finished with 10 strikeouts. He was also 2-for-4 at the plate with with a RBI in Spring Garden’s 17-0 area baseball win at Jacksonville Christian on Thursday.

Joel Hunter led the Panthers (12-10) at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a triple, three runs, and a RBI. Brady Ruark and Zack Scogin were both 2-for-3 with a double. Ruark also scored two runs and had a RBI. Scogin walked, scored two runs, and had three RBIs. Eli Bates went 2-for-3 with a run and a RBI.

Dawson Ellzey tripled, walked, scored two runs, and had a RBI. Ben Baker doubled, scored a run, and had a RBI. Zane Edwards doubled, walked, scored a run, and had a RBI.

Kain Powell and Noah Carnes both had a hit, a run, and a RBI. Cam Cade scored two runs. Bowden Boles scored a run. Braxton Sadler and Shawn Carnes both drove in a run.

Spring Garden hosts Gaylesville to begin another area series on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
