Gadsden Police Officer Hunter Smith Graduates from Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy

GADSDEN — The Gadsden Police Department is recognizing Officer Hunter Smith following his graduation from the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy.

Smith successfully completed the academy’s basic law enforcement training program, marking a key milestone in his preparation for active duty with the department.

He will now move into the Field Training Officer (FTO) phase, where he will begin applying his training in real-world law enforcement operations under supervision.

Department leadership congratulated Officer Smith on his achievement and noted that recruitment remains ongoing for additional applicants interested in joining the Gadsden Police Department.
