COLLINSVILLE – The Collinsville Lady Panthers split a pair of games in the DeKalb County Softball Tournament on Friday. They blanked Sylvania 10-0, then fell in the winners bracket to Plainview 10-0.
In the Sylvania game, Aubrey Reeves went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and three runs for the Lady Panthers (13-12). Lexii Burt was also 2-for-3 with two runs.
Bella Wills doubled, walked, and drove in a pair of runs. Brayleigh Smith added a hit and two runs. Jemma Smith had a hit, a run, and a RBI.
Wills earned the win after working five scoreless innings. She allowed four hits and had seven strikeouts.
In the Plainview game, the Lady Panthers could only manage one hit, and that came off Wills’ bat. Jemma Smith suffered the loss.
The Lady Panthers play again in the tournament on Saturday at 10 a.m.
