Black blasts 7th home run in Warriors’ area baseball win at Cleburne County

HEFLIN – Cherokee County’s Nate Black blasted his seventh home run of the season at Cleburne County on Thursday. He finished going 2-for-5 at the plate with the homer, a double, two runs, and three RBIs in leading the Warriors to an 11-4 area baseball win to sweep the series. The Warriors won 10-0 on Tuesday.

Case Hill went 2-for-3 with a walk, a run, and three RBIs for the Warriors (13-11), Wyatt Baker added a hit, a walk, and a pair of runs. Evan Hill had a hit, a walk, a run, and two RBIs. Cayce Tittle contributed a hit, a walk, and a run. Adam Griffith managed a hit.

Daniel Neyman walked, scored a run, and had a RBI. Owen Jacoway walked and scored two runs. Aiden Bobbitt drew a pair of walks and scored a run.

Griffith earned the complete-game win. He allowed two earned runs on seven hits with three walks and five strikeouts.
