Warrior baseball blanks Cleburne County

CENTRE – The Cherokee County Warriors belted out 14 hits in a 10-0 area baseball win over Cleburne County in six innings on Tuesday.

Nate Black led the Warriors (12-11) at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBIs. Owen Jacoway also went 3-for-4 with a double, a run, and two RBIs. Case Hill and Evan Hill were both 2-for-3. Case Hill scored a run and Evan Hill had two runs and two RBIs.

Wyatt Baker and Aiden Bobbitt both had a hit and a run. Baker also had a RBI. Adam Griffith delivered a hit and two RBIs. Cayce Tittle tallied a hit and a run. James Hunter scored a run.

Cam Mayo captured the win on the mound for the Warriors. He tossed all six innings and scattered three hits and two walks with eight strikeouts.

The two teams finish the series on Thursday in Heflin at 4:30 p.m.
