Single-Vehicle Crash in Gaylesville Sends Driver to Hospital

GAYLESVILLE — A single-vehicle accident occurred on Crimson Hill Road in Gaylesville early Tuesday morning.
The crash happened just prior to 6 a.m. when a white sedan traveling toward Gaylesville left the roadway and ended up in a ditch.

The male driver of the vehicle was treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital by Atrium Health Floyd EMS.
The call initially came in reporting possible entrapment and injuries. The Gaylesville Fire Department responded to the scene, and Cherokee County Rescue was also initially dispatched but appeared to have been canceled after the driver was freed from the vehicle.
