COLLINSVILLE – The Collinsville Panthers clinched the Class 3A, Area 13 baseball title with a 9-1 win over Fyffe on Tuesday.

Gavin Lang led the second-ranked Panthers (19-2) at the plate by going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two runs, and a RBI. He also earned the win on the mound after working six innings. He gave up an unearned run on four hits with four walks and 12 strikeouts.

Jeremiah Killian doubled, walked, scored a run, and had two RBIs. Mason McAteer contributed a double, a walk, and two runs. Noah Johnson and Brantley Daugherty both collected a hit, a walk, a run, and a RBI. Bronner Jones had a hit and a RBI. Colton Pettus and Chase Godshall both scored a run.

Daugherty tossed an inning of no-hit ball with three strikeouts.

Collinsville is at Fyffe on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
