Leesburg, AL – April 6, 2026 – During the Leesburg Town Council meeting, the council approved a $50,461.73 contract with Vector to install security cameras, strengthening public safety across the town.
There was no old business on the agenda. During new business, the council approved a $1,000 roping box scholarship to support the Chamber of Commerce’s 3rd Annual Estes Field PCA Rodeo.
Additionally, the fire department received approval for the purchase and annual maintenance of air packs. The fire department’s air packs have an annual service fee of $50 each, with the total cost expected to remain under $1,000.
Leesburg’s infrastructure needs were addressed with the approval of $1,800 for concrete work at the town’s pump station.
The meeting moved into executive session at 5:01 p.m. to discuss a criminal investigation. Town officials indicated no action would be taken following the executive session.
