Cherokee County Recognizes 911 Dispatcher Hayden Storey 

Cherokee County is taking time to recognize the dedicated professionals who answer emergency calls and help coordinate life-saving responses across the community.

One of those being highlighted is 911 Dispatcher Hayden Storey, described as one of the steady voices behind the line at Cherokee County’s emergency communications center.

Storey has served the community as a dispatcher for a little more than a year, bringing both dedication and real-world experience to the position. Before joining the communications team, she spent nine years working as an Emergency Medical Technician. Six of those years were spent serving residents of Cherokee County with Cherokee EMS and Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee EMS.

A lifelong resident of Cherokee County, Storey was born and raised in the area and takes pride in serving the citizens of her hometown and giving back to the community she calls home.

County officials expressed their appreciation for Storey’s service, professionalism, and continued commitment to the people of Cherokee County, noting they are grateful to have her as part of the emergency communications team
