CENTRE — Ava Haygood scored six goals and Berkley Isaacs netted three to lead the Cherokee County Lady Warrior soccer team to a 9-1 area victory over New Hope on Friday.
Isabella Segura dished out three assists for the Lady Warriors. Chloe Wood, Kadie Henderson, Layla Martin, and Chloe Battles allowed only four shots. Cali Martin recorded three saves.
In boys’ action, the Warriors fell by the final of 4-0.
Both Warrior teams travel to Oneonta on Tuesday for an area match. On Wednesday, Oneonta travels to Cherokee County for another area match at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The Warriors finish off next week with senior night on Thursday against Etowah, with the boys playing at 5 p.m., and the girls at 7 p.m.
