ANNISTON – Spring Garden’s Ben Baker continued his hot streak at the plate Thursday at Faith Christian. He went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double, a walk, four runs, and three RBIs in leading the Panthers to a 19-1 area baseball victory.
Including Tuesday’s game against the Lions, Baker went a combined 7-for-7 with three home runs, a triple, a double, two walks, seven runs, and nine RBIs.
Zane Edwards was also 3-for-3 with a homer, a walk, three runs, and four RBIs for the Panthers (9-10). Joel Hunter went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs, and two RBIs.
Dawson Ellzey was 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs. Eli Bates was also 2-for-3 with a run and a RBI.
Hayes Guthrie doubled, scored two runs, and had two RBIs. Brady Ruark collected a hit, a walk, a run, and a RBI. Jake Marlow contributed a hit and two RBIs. Clayton Sadler had a hit and a run. Bowden Boles finished with a hit. Kaylor Free and Noah Carnes both walked and scored a run.
Spring Garden plays at Weaver on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
