CEDAR BLUFF – Aided by a six-run bottom of the first inning, the Cedar Bluff Tigers took a 12-5 area baseball win over Donoho on Thursday to complete a series sweep.
Sam Payne, Fischer Young, Dallas Story, and Bryson Teague each contributed a pair of hits for the Tigers (8-14). Payne tripled and scored a run. Young doubled and drove in three runs. Story doubled and scored a run and drove in two more. Teague scored a run and had a RBI.
Kadien Tracy tripled, walked twice, scored twice, and drove in a run. Bryant Gravley collected a hit, a walk, a run, and a RBI. Kuper Bradley finished with a hit and a run.
Young earned the complete-game win on the mound. He allowed five unearned runs on five hits with a walk and six strikeouts.
Cedar Bluff hosts Pleasant Valley on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
