In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Jarquis McGuire, age 38 of Guntersville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on two previous charges.

Marty Womack, age 43 of Summerville, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving under the influence of a combined substance.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 77 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
