SPRING GARDEN – Ben Baker went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a home run, a triple, a walk, three runs and six RBIs. He also earned the win on the mound after tossing three innings of two-hit baseball, giving up two unearned runs with six strikeouts in Spring Garden’s 28-2 area baseball win over Faith Christian on Tuesday.
Kaylor Free homered and drove in four runs for the Panthers (8-10). Zane Edwards added a pair of hits, including a triple, with two runs and a RBI. Cam Cade tripled, scored a run, and had two RBIs.
Joel Hunter had a pair of hits, including a double, with a walk, three runs and two RBIs. Clayton Sadler was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, three runs and two RBIs. Bowden Boles also went 2-for-2 with a double and a run. Brody Bostick and Grant Maddox both doubled and scored a run.
Dawson Ellzey went 2-for-2 with a walk, three runs, and three RBIs. Brady Ruark was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Hayes Guthrie went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Eli Bates finished with a pair of hits, a pair of runs, and three RBIs. Noah Carnes came away with a hit, a run, and a RBI.
The two teams finish their series on Thursday at Faith Christian at 4 p.m.
