Ms. Sarah Bob Rickett, age 81 of Ballplay, passed away on March 28, 2026, at Atrium Health Floyd Hospital in Rome, GA. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
She is survived by her son, Michael Watson (Linda); grandchildren, Brittany Watson (Britt) and Ashley Watson; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Pierce and Remington Burns; nieces, Amy and Deanna Hanks, Nina McDaniel (Frankie), Tisha Holcomb, and Jerica Houge (Buster); several great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Joan Reed, Becky Pierce, Betty Steel Hanks, Kathleen Brewster, Dillon Pierce and Jeff Pearsey.
Pallbearers will be Buster Houge, Justin Holcomb, Jeremy Howell, Michael Watson and Johnny Shaw.
Sarah Bob was a hard worker. She loved walking and never met a stranger. She stayed mad for months, not days. She enjoyed old rock and roll and loved to party.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herschell and Effie Rickett; and brother, Jerry Rickett.
