Single-Vehicle Rollover on Highway 273 Sends Driver to Hospital

STARLING GAP — One person was injured Friday morning in a single-vehicle rollover on Alabama Highway 273 near the intersection with County Road 136. The accident happened at approximately 6:00 AM.

Authorities reported that a gray Nissan Altima left the roadway and rolled onto its driver’s side in a wooded area. The driver was initially reported as trapped but was able to exit the vehicle before emergency crews arrived.

Tuckers Chapel and Sand Rock Fire Departments, along with Atrium Health Floyd EMS, responded to the scene. The driver was treated on-site and then transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.

Alabama State Troopers were also dispatched to investigate the cause of the crash.
