Associated MetalCast Announces $6.24 Million Expansion in Oxford, Creating 50 Jobs

OXFORD — Associated MetalCast, a precision metal casting and manufacturing company, announced plans to expand its Alabama operations with a $6.24 million investment that will create 50 new jobs across Calhoun and Talladega counties.

The project includes upgrades at two Oxford facilities, incorporating new equipment and technology to support growing customer demand. The expansion will add skilled manufacturing positions over the next six years, with average annual wages expected to exceed $49,000.

Founded in 1998, Associated MetalCast serves industries including waterworks, automotive, heavy truck, and industrial equipment. The company provides both ferrous and non-ferrous cast components, along with machining, finishing, and assembly services. Its business model emphasizes innovation, value-added service, and integrated supply-chain support to help customers streamline production and control costs.

Alabama Department of Commerce Secretary Ellen McNair praised the company’s decision to expand in the state. “Associated MetalCast is exactly the kind of company Alabama wants to grow — innovative, technically advanced and deeply committed to quality,” McNair said. “This expansion is a testament to the strength of our manufacturing workforce and the competitive business environment we’ve built in this state. We’re proud to support the growth of a company that has earned its reputation through precision, performance and results.”

The expansion project has received support from the city of Oxford, Calhoun County, Talladega County, and the Calhoun County Economic Development Council. Additionally, the Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) program will provide workforce training to help the company scale its operations and meet increased demand.

McNair said the investment reflects strong confidence in Alabama’s workforce and its local communities. “When a company with this track record chooses to deepen its roots in Alabama, it sends a clear message: our workforce is world-class, and our communities are ready for growth. We look forward to watching Associated MetalCast and the people of Oxford build something exceptional together,” she said.

The expansion reinforces Associated MetalCast’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and innovation, ensuring the company continues to provide high-precision components and services to its diverse customer base.
