Two Vehicle Accident In Cherokee County Sends 4 to Hospital
The collision was reported as near head on occurred on highway 35 west of Watson’s Crossroads just after 11 am Thursday.
It was reported 4 were entrapped in the wreckage with Cherokee County Rescue Squad and Gaylesville Fire dispatched to assist with extrication.
A 40 year old female was critically injured, transported to Cherokee Medical Center, treated and airlifted by AirEvac to a trauma center for treatment. A male in his 20s was transported to a landing zone on Alabama highway 35 at Watson’s Crossroads where he was airlifted by Life Flight 23 to a trauma unit for treatment. The other two injured subjects were transported by ground ambulance to Atrium Floyd in Rome.
Broomtown Fire responded to the accident scene to assist with traffic and a managing landing zones.
Alabama State Troopers, ALEA Highway Patrol Investigated the accident.
