McMichen’s triple lifts Sand Rock softball past Cedar Bluff in 11 innings

SAND ROCK – Alyvia McMichen tripled in the game-winning run, lifting the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats to a 6-5 area softball victory in 11 innings over Cedar Bluff on Wednesday.

Emma Sipsy went 3-for-6 at the plate with two doubles, a run, and a RBI for Sand Rock (9-4). Molly Grace Lay was also 3-for-6 with two runs. Aubie Camp contributed three hits and a RBI. A. Ford had a hit and scored a run. Raven Todd added a hit, and M. Walker scored a run.

Sipsy tossed six innings in the circle for Sand Rock. She allowed two earned runs on six hits with three walks and eight strikeouts.

M. Martin pitched five innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

Paityn Walker led the Lady Tigers (4-8) at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a double, two walks, two runs, and a RBI. Rylie Walker went went 3-for-6 with a RBI. Ciana Smith had a pair of hits, including a triple, with a run.

Tylee Bradford doubled and drove in a run. Kyriah Vadon also doubled. Piper Cromer finished with a hit, a walk, and a run. CeCe Davis walked.

Emma Blanks tossed 10 innings for Cedar Bluff. She allowed one earned run on 12 hits with no walks and three strikeouts.
