Children’s Advocacy Center to Host Pastors Lunch in Centre

CENTRE — The Children’s Advocacy Center of Cherokee County is inviting pastors and church leaders from across the area to attend an upcoming Pastors Lunch focused on strengthening partnerships to protect children and support families.
The event is scheduled for April 7 at 12 p.m. and will be held at the center’s location at 411 North River Street in Centre.
According to organizers, the luncheon will provide an opportunity for faith leaders to learn more about the center’s mission and explore ways their congregations can become involved in child advocacy efforts. Topics will include how churches can participate in Blue Sunday, a national initiative that encourages congregations to pray for victims of child abuse, as well as other year-round opportunities to support children and families in need.
The Children’s Advocacy Center said the event is designed to build stronger connections between faith communities and local resources dedicated to child protection.
Pastors and church leaders interested in attending are asked to RSVP by calling 256-927-2111 or by emailing llumsdencac@tds.net.
