Collinsville sweeps baseball doubleheader from Section

COLLINSVILLE – The Collinsville Panthers improved to 10-1 on the baseball season with a doubleheader sweep of Section on Tuesday. The scores were 4-0 and 13-2.

In the first game, Noah Johnson went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs. Brantley Daugherty was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Jeremiah Killian was also 2-for-3.

Gavin Lang doubled and walked. Sylas Adams went 1-for-2 with a walk, a run, and a RBI. Colton Pettus contributed a hit and a run.

Killian earned the win on the mound for the Panthers. He pitched five innings and allowed no runs on four hits with no walks and eight strikeouts. Daugherty tossed two innings and allowed a hit with three strikeouts.

In the nightcap, Mason McAteer belted three doubles, had a walk, scored three runs, and had two RBIs. Killian collected a pair of doubles, three runs, and a RBI. Lang went 2-for-3 with three runs and a RBI.

Adams added a hit, two walks, and two runs. Daugherty was 1-for-3 with a run and a RBI. Jacob Niles went 1-for-2 with a RBI. Bentley Jones had a hit, a run, and a RBI.

Johnson contributed a walk, a run, and a RBI. Pettus had a walk and a run. Bronner Jones scored a run.

Adams earned the win after working four innings. He allowed two earned runs on three hits with a walk and eight strikeouts. Johnson worked an inning and gave up a walk with two strikeouts.
