In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Laura Wheat, age 61 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Joshua Meadows, age 45 of Fort Payne, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.

Branen Roe, age 49 of Leesburg, was arrested by Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 82 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
