Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Lane Closure on Interstate 65 in Blount County

Blount County, Ala. — A multi-vehicle crash early Monday morning has resulted in a lane closure on Interstate 65 in Blount County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Monday, March 9, near the 284-mile marker.
Authorities report that the crash has caused a portion of the interstate to become blocked, and the affected lane is expected to remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.
Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are currently on the scene investigating the crash and managing traffic in the area.
