Cedar Bluff Fire and Police Report for February

 

During the regular Cedar Bluff Town Council Meeting Thursday evening, the Fire Department Report was given for the Month of February. There were 15 calls related to medical, 3 structure fires, 5 grass fires, 2 fire alarms, 4 motor vehicle accidents, 1 vehicle fire and 1 fuel spill for a total of 31 calls answered.

Police Chief Jeremy Stepps gave the Police report for the month of February with Officers patrolling 8095 miles, issued 103 warnings, issued 17 traffic citations, made 10 felony arrests, 8 misdemeanor arrests, 6 drug cases, served 8 warrants, issued 27 incident and offense reports, interview 3 suspects, answered 3 crime tips, and assigned 2 cases.

Town of Cedar Bluff Gets New Police Officer

Mayor Bill Warren introduced Brandon Hayes to the Council as the Town’s New Police Officer and recognized Officer Dakota Deberry for completing Session 14 of the Alabama Investigator Academy. This comprehensive 96 hour course was conducted from October through February 11th.

The Town now has 5 Officers serving the Town. They have one more slot to fill to be at full staff.
